Hey so I have been thinking of starting a book-blog but there are still some things I have questions around. Can I write about any book (reviewing, talking about, mentioning, recommending, rate and so on) without having to worry about copy right? And does the same goes for photos? Can I take my own pictures of books, without having to worry?
Thanks for the help in beforehand
Kind regards from Alice.

Yes, you can review and talk about books all you want! The only thing you’d have to worry about is quoting a copyrighted text “too much”–which isn’t going to happen unless you literally “quote” like five full chapters of a novel or an entire poem. 😉 It’s also generally accepted that book bloggers will use pictures of covers in their posts, whether that’s just the cover art grabbed from Goodreads or your own photo of the book.

Thank you for your answer! Have been looking around all day, trying to figure out where the line goes, copyright wise. Now it feels a lot better, and I think I will get on with making a blog 😀

Hi, Pages Unbound! 🙂 Thank you so much for putting together this page. I have used it extensively these past couple of months as I put together my new book reviewing blog, Jade’s Secret Storms. 🙂 In my first post, I included a special thank you to you guys for this post. If you would like to check it out, here’s the link: https://goo.gl/gEDjeF 😀 Again, thank you so much!
