      Yeah, every time I see someone ask for picture book recommendations, people recommend all these books that are longish and have a plot and might work better for older kids. (I do think people forget that picture books have an age range of 0-8 years old, so there’s a lot of variety in there!) So, yes, it’s more interesting to ME as an adult if the book has a whole story, but babies and toddlers actually like books that just say things like “white cat” with a fuzzy cat you touch. :p
