Every year on March 25, the anniversary of the Downfall of Sauron, the Tolkien Society hosts Tolkien Reading Day. This year’s theme is Nature and Industry. The primary goal is to promote the reading of the works of J.R R. Tolkien! To celebrate, Pages Unbound will be hosting two weeks of Tolkien-related posts. In addition to our own thoughts, we will be featuring a number of guest posts!

Would you survive if you joined the Fellowship of the Ring and went on the journey to toss the One Ring into Mount Doom? Take our short quiz to see if you have the skills to make it all the way to Mordor and back– or if you’ll suffer the fate of Boromir.
Let us know in the comments if you survived!
This was interesting. I know cooking but only vegetarian so I might not survive in woods.😂

I’m halfway decent with a bow, but my ability to find food in the wild is lacking, so I’d probably die.

Yes, I knew spending so much time outdoors and camping would pay off! Then again…I know what stuff to eat and what not to eat here but how does that help on the way to Mordor? Yeah….I will probably be poisoned by some kind of Middleearth plantlife.

Yes, that’s a very good point. Someone once gave me advice on what mushrooms one could eat in California where he grew up, but apparently that helps me only in California. so….

I’m pretty sure that would happen to me if I didn’t have someone to help me survive!
