The Sunday Exchange (8/12/18)

Sunday Exchange

Introduction

The Sunday Exchange is a new weekly feature we are introducing at Pages Unbound where we ask you, our readers, to share a post from your own blog that matches the week’s theme.  The goal is to allow you to share posts you are proud of or think other people will find interesting and to help other people find fun posts to read.

This Week’s Theme

Share a Post that Will Make Other Readers Smile

The “Rules”

  1. Share your post title, the URL of the post, AND a brief explanation of what the post is/why you think people might like to read it in a comment on this blog post.
  2. Try to make the post fit the week’s theme.
  3. Please share only one post each week.
  4. The post does not have to be recent. It can be from any time in your blog’s archives.
  5. Consider visiting some other bloggers’ posts.
  6. We won’t be closing the comments after a week has passed, so *technically* you can still add your post later, but it may not get that much traffic if you share your post a month later.

That’s it! We hope you participate, and check back next Sunday for a new theme and another chance to share!

Don't Stress about Your Reading-min

Don’t Stress about How Many Books You’ve Read This Year

At the end of 2017, I wrote a post about how many books you read each year doesn’t really matter or indicate whether you’re a “real” or “good” reader, and it seemed to resonate with a lot of people.  I posted it in December because that’s when people start sharing all their end-of-the-year wrap-ups, but I hope it will also encourage some people now.

Hello! Wow, I love this idea so much and I am looking forward to participating in it! What a great idea to get to know other bloggers!
My post for this week’s theme is entitled, “What Makes You Happy?” It was a post I was tagged to do at the very beginning of this year and I had a lot of fun writing it. I love that it allowed me to reflect on things that make me happy and I hope I can find time to keep doing that throughout the rest of this year!

Ahoy there matey! What a fun idea. The post that I did in April that made people laugh was called curiosities of the deep – the seven husbands of evelyn hugo (Taylor Jenkins Reid). This post talks about what happened when I read the wrong book! I have gotten me hands on the correct book and will be reading it soon. Arrr!

Great idea for a new series! Just curious, but should we try to feature a post that’s recent? Or can we reach back into our archives if we remember a post that fits the topic perfectly?

Mine is “What’s Making Me Happy: June and July 2018.” It’s the latest installment of a bimonthly series where I share things that made me happy over the past two months. It gives me a chance to talk about things besides writing and reading, and hopefully it reminds readers to remember what they’re grateful for. 🙂
