Studio Ghibli’s 1991 film Only Yesterday will hit theatres for the first time in the U.S. next year.  The story follows 27-year-old Taeko as she visits her childhood home.

rainbow weatherIn honor of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the Globe will show 37 short films of scenes from the Bard’s plays along the Thames April 23 and 24 of next year.
lightningFans of Agent Carter will have to wait for the premiere of season two.  The show was originally scheduled to air on January 5, the State of the Union Address has caused the show to be pushed back until January 19.

Partially CloudyThe reports that Royd Tolkien, great-grandson of the Professor, will be filming his journey to fulfill a 50-item bucket list left to him by his deceased brother Mike.

nightOn February 23, Terry and Eric Fan’s picture book The Night Gardener, in which a mysterious man sculpts a tree into a different animal each night, hits shelves.
sunNext September the British Library will open an exhibit featuring rare artefacts from Shakespeare’s life, including one of his signatures and the only play script in the Bard’s own hand.
