Wizarding School Adventure: Shopping for School Supplies

On July 27-Aug. 1, 2015, Pages Unbound is hosting a week-long celebration of Harry Potter! The event leads readers on an interactive journey through their time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and features a variety of activities, quizzes, reflections, and guest posts. You’ll want to read the posts in order, so if you’re ever lost, you can head back to the event introduction post, where you will find a schedule and links to all the event activities.  The post following this one will be “The Train Ride to School.”

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term will begin on July 28.  We await your owl.

Instructions: In order to gather these school supplies, you need to stop by Diagon Alley!  You can make decisions about some of the products you’re going to purchase by using the flow chart below.  (Or click here to be taken to a larger version of the chart.) Remember to keep track of your choices, including wand type, purchases, whether you make any friends or enemies, and whether you make a bad impression on any professors.  What you acquire here will be important during the rest of the event this week, so write this down and keep it safe!  You can also keep track of your decisions by consistently commenting on posts during the event.  Note: Even if your decisions here cause you to miss the train in the flowchart, you can still read the event train ride post.
