Top Ten Books on Your Fall TBR List

1. Palace of Stone by Shannon Hale: The sequel to Princess Academy follows Miri as she attends a royal wedding and finds herself drawn into an impending revolution.

2. Princess of the Silver Wood by Jessica Day George: A retelling of “Little Red Riding Hood” and the Robin Hood legend.  Third of George’s Princess books, to be released November 13.

3. The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling: I know.  This is on everyone’s list, right?

4. Crimson Rising by Nick James: The sequel to The Pearl Wars reunites Jesse and Cassius to save humanity from extinction.  Release date Sept. 8.

5. Reached by Ally Condie: The final book in the Matched trilogy comes out November 13.

6. The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien: Gotta reread it before the movie comes out!  Read Briana’s review here.

7. Enchanted by Alethea Kontis: A retelling of “The Frog Prince.”

8. The Drowned Vault by N. D. Wilson: The second book in the Ashtown Burials series follows Cyrus and Antigone Smith as they race to regain the lost dragon tooth and save their friends.  Release date Sept. 11.

9. The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict by Trenton Stewart: The prequel to the Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy.

10. The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There by Catherynne M. Valente: In the second Fairyland book, September reunites with her old friends in an attempt to retrieve her lost shadow and, in the process, save Fairyland.  Out October 7.
