Every year on March 25, the anniversary of the Downfall of Sauron, the Tolkien Society hosts Tolkien Reading Day. The goal is to promote the reading of the works of J. R. R. Tolkien! To celebrate, Pages Unbound will be hosting over a week of Tolkien-related posts. In addition to our own thoughts, we will be featuring guests posts!
We will begin tomorrow with a Tolkien-related survey that you can answer on your own blog. On Sunday, Tolkien Reading Day, we will be begin posting reviews and reflections!
Ways to Participate
- If you’re really excited, you can grab our event button and put it on your blog.
- You can read a book by J.R.R. Tolkien on March 25 and post your own review later in the week! Find suggestions on the Tolkien Society’s Bibliography.
- Answer our short survey and leave a link to your blog!
- At the end of the event, we will have a post where you can link to any posts you have made about Tolkien, either this year or in the past. Reviews, movie comparisons, philosophical thoughts, and personal reflections are all welcome!
