Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. This week we are listing
Top Ten Books on My Spring To-Be-Read List
1. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen: I have been looking for a copy of this, on the recommendation of a friend, forever. Bookstores are obviously hiding it from me.
2. Hallowed by Cynthia Hand: I’m really looking forward to reading how Clara grows and how her romance progresses in this sequel. I loved the first book!
3. Fever by Lauren DeStefano: I had listed Wither, but I just read it! Check for the review tomorrow.
4. Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George: This sounds really cute, and I have not managed to read it, even though I was dying to the moment it was released.
5. Insurgent by Veronica Roth: I am a huge fan of Divergent. I can’t wait to see what happens in this sequel!
6. Storybound by Marissa Burt: A school where kids learn to be the perfect storybook character? This sounds immensely fun and creative!
7. The Cabinet of Earths by Anne Nesbit: More middle-grade literature sure to be filled with wonder and adventure.
8. Incarnate by Jodi Meadows: The cover is beautiful and I like dystopian novels.
9. The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott: I like to read historical fiction once in a while.
10. Cascade by Lisa Bergren: I wasn’t blown away by Waterfall. The dialogue is strange and the characters are really man-obsessed, but I’m invested enough to wonder what happens next.
Isn’t it weird how some really popular books can be hard to find. I went to three different stores before I was able to find “The Passage”. I really liked “Water for Elephants” all the way thru and then loved it in the end.

I went to three different bookstores, and the computer always said it was in stock, but it wasn’t! I considered purchasing it from Amazon at one point, and even they had a little notice that they only had three copies left. But I am determined to read it because it’s the favorite book of one of my friends, and everything she has ever told me to read has been fantastic! (And elephants are my favorite animal, so I may be swayed by the title.)

I’ve been intrigued by it since I first heard of it, even though I’m not particularly concerned about the Titanic at all, which is probably most of its marketing value.

Fever is one of those books I want to get to soon as well. A few others on your list look tempting too.

Every time someone says this, I feel the need to plug the Wither/Fever read-along at The Overstuffed Bookcase and The Daily Bookmark. It forced me to read Wither!

I loved Water for Elephants. It was so well written, and the details of circus life were incredible.

I really enjoyed INCARNATE (I may be a tad bias because there is someone who plays the piano…) and of course cannot wait for INSURGENT to come out! 😀
I have to check some of the other titles you mention! Thanks for sharing 😀

I actually have little idea of what Incarnate is about; I just like the cover! But I think I would like a character who plays the piano, too!
