Here are a few polls for everyone to answer about their favorite parts of Montgomery’s books! Click to see the full post. (Embedding the polls got a little messy!)
I just feel that I should say that Rilla’s love interest, Ken Ford, is my favorite leading man from my favorite series. Don’t ask me why, haha. Rilla of Ingleside is my favorite L.M. Montgomery book alongside Anne of Green Gables.
Wow. I’d totally forgotten about Ken Ford! He definitely does not make as many appearances in Rilla of Ingleside as he should! (Okay, I recognize that wouldn’t make much sense plot-wise, but maybe there could have been another book!)
I personally voted for Jingle. Gilbert is awesome, too, but I am not very fond of some of Teddy’s choices. Perhaps I should have added Barney to the poll, too!
I was wondering how Jingle ended up tied with Gilbert! I voted for him, too! I mean, come on. He has McGinty! How can you not like a guy with an adorable doggy?
It’s been such a long time since I’ve thought of Barney. He’s really interesting because, unlike the other lead males, you don’t know anything about him when you first meet him. Only gradually do you realize how awesome he is!

I didn’t even think about him while I was making the polls! It’s been awhile since I read Rilla, but great choice!

I adore Ken, Renae.
That scene where he comes to call on Rilla and Susan decides to help entertain… I nearly die of laughing every time.
But I just finished the Pat books, and OH GOLLY JINGLE. New favorite. Even beat out Barney, which I thought would take some doing.

Teddy…Not sure what he’s thinking half the time.
I am DYING to visit PEI. Also, to Jenna above, BARNEY!!! We reviewed The Blue Castle on our site: http://mysistersbookshelf.com/marys-book-review-the-blue-castle-by-l-m-montgomery/
And for a top ten list last week I did books that would appeal to fans of L.M. Montgomery! In other words, I love this.
Great review!
I’ve thought of doing such a list several times, but I could never quite decide on the books.
Great review! You can always add it to the Mr. Linky on the post introducing the Montgomery event: http://pagesunbound.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/l-m-montgomery-read-along-begins/. That way the people who are checking back will find it!
